Was The New Covenant Really Needed?

Why was the Original Covenant found wanting?

The Original Covenant
was found wanting because...
Therefore, the New Covenant
will provide...

It was very time consuming and restrictive We're free from all those rules!  More free time, less restrictive lifestyle

It was imperfect - flawed in truth Corrected, more perfect truth

It could not forgive sin Forgiveness of sin

It could not provide eternal life Eternal life with God

It could not provide health, wealth, prosperity Health, wealth, and prosperity

It had no power to allow one to stop sinning, to live a sinless, perfect life A sinless, holy life

(Heb 7:11 NIV) If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come--one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?

So how come we now have the new covenant but still insist no one can be sinless!
